Legong and Barong Waksirsa Dance

This Traditional Bali dances performances are held at the local center Bale Banjar Ubud Kelod. There are 4 types of dancings that we can enjoy, Pendet Dance, Topeng Tua, Legong Dance and the special Barong Waksirsa Dance.
Pendet dance also called as a welcome dance, young unmarried girls carry bowls of flower petals, handfuls of which are cast into the air at various times in the course of the dance. Topeng Tua dance is a solo dance, depicting an old man who is still very energetic in his old age.
Legong Dance is the oldest classical dance of Bali and used to be a royal entertainment. While Barong Waksirsa Dance tells us about the Goddess Durga/ white Rangda who comes down to the earth, followed by her follower (Sisya) named Waksirsa (Pig).
