Immigration Card Abolished

Bali cancels the embarkation / disembarkation card, which is a relief for overseas visitors, and airline staff.

As of April 1st, 2015 Bali will no longer insist on visitors filling in the immigration card. Usually it was handed over to visitors from overseas already in the airplane to be filled in, with name, passport number, flight number, etc. One part was kept by the immigration upon arrival and one part you had to keep in your passport till departure.

This ancient procedure like the airport departure tax is now a memory of the past.

Instead, now you are asked to show your boarding pass when you arrive; so better you keep it handy when you show your documents at the Bali immigration counter. Do not leave it on the plane.

When you leave the country the officer will ask to see your boarding pass for the departing flight.
