Mushroom Bay Beach

Further south is the beautiful Mushroom Beach, which is a popular place for day trips from Bali. It is a great beach for snorkelling but currents can be strong. Luckily there are lifeguards on duty most at the time. Another popular beach is Dream Beach, where waves crash into craggy rocks and cliffs. The place has several great cliff-side restaurants, but the ocean here is too dangerous for swimming.

Nusa Lembongan has a number of other smaller beaches, many of which are deserted or very quiet. Some of Bali's best snorkelling and diving can be done around this island, but visitors are strongly recommended to only go out with experienced and qualified operators, as there can be very strong currents that are highly dangerous even for the most experienced divers.
